I can't believe Uzi discards tracks that could have so much potential if they were finished like Zoom and Run It Up (This also goes for all the fire tracks Uzi did finish but still discarded like Made It and Everything Lit), meanwhile he puts garbage tracks like Pop It and You Better Move on the album.
Also I know everyone here has been going crazy about him flipping XO Tour Life, but I found it lazy and uninspired, just like a majority of this album. None of the songs On Eternal Atake make me think, "Wow I can see why he took 2 years to drop this." Every single song on this album sounds like a track Uzi could have cranked out in one night. However, even with these tracks, would I say these are some of Uzi's best? Hell no, they're just good Uzi tracks, nothing special about them which is really my issue with the whole album. I'm just making all this clear so you guys know where my biases are with Uzi.Įternal Atake has a strong start with the first three songs, I like these songs a lot especially Silly Watch which I'd say is the best song on the album. My favorite Uzi tracks/features are songs like Safe House, Super Saiyan, I Got Bandz, Shells, Ozone, Closin It, and Made It which I still think is Uzi's best song ever despite being a leak. Luv Is Rage 1 still remains my favorite Uzi project and that's because it's the most rap heavy of all his projects. This is not to say there are no melodic Uzi songs that I like, but even with those songs, they are still more rap heavy (I'm thinking songs like Banned From TV, Top, and Neon Guts) compared to the heavily autotuned very melodic songs he's known for like Money Longer, P's and Q's, XO Tour Life, etc…
Hopefully people can be mature and respond to my post without ad-hominem attacks but somehow I doubt that will happen.įirst let me say that I have always preferred rapping Uzi over melodic Uzi. Yeah ya'll can downvote me, I'm not a member of this sub and don't even use Reddit that often so I really don't care, I just want to get my opinion out there.
